Plein Air Schedule and Bauer Farm Outdoor Show Information

Looking Across the Marsh, acrylic, 30x20, Jan Blencowe
If you'd like your work featured here just e-mail me a jpeg, along with title,
size, medium and your name.

Nota Bene: There is a new public park in Old Saybrook perfect for plein air painting. (That's where I did the above painting) It's called Founders Memorial Park, take Coulter Street, (off Main Street, Liberty Bank is on the corner) to the end, make a left, go a short distance and then through the gates and up the hill. At the top of the hill is the park with a spectacular view of North Cove, the Connecticut River and the railroad bridge. Happy Painting!!

MAS artists

Next week, Wednesday, October 22nd, we will paint behind the Clinton Town Hall on the landings that were just built from 9 -12. Dudley Farm was enjoyable Wednesday and warm, so I hope next week is good too.

October 18th - Saturday - Bauer Farm Plein air Exhibition

MAS Artists have been invited to paint at the Bauer Farm, Madison during the Bauer Farm Family Festival this coming Saturday, October 18th. There will be a corn maze, a petting zoo, wolf exhibition, ancient arrow toss (painting near the long bows would not be a good idea). There is no fee or commission on paintings sold of Bauer Farm. Please let me know if you intend to come on Saturday. Artists that have RSVP'd me to date are listed below. Let me know if I have missed anyone.

We will have a tent and a table set up and the artists will be expected to share sitting at the table in front of the display panels. Set up time will be around 9:30 to 10:00 AM (Paula and Maryanne will bring display panels). Check in spot for our area is with Ted Rahman in the small classroom where the rest rooms are located). Bring one or two paintings that you have done of Bauer Farm along with your name, title, medium and price on a small card to place next to your painting. We will have a list with you name and phone contact number too. Whoever is sitting at the table will direct the interested party to the artist and point out where they are painting at the time or have them call you directly to arrange for the sale if you are not there at the time. Make sure you are around at 3:00 PM to pick up your painting(s).

Listed Artists: Joan Mc Pherson, Pat Barone, Nancy Armstrong, Jay Babina, Maryanne Rupp, Paula Solimene, Pat Anderson, Lesley Braren, Patricia Seakamp, Beverly Schirmeier, Denise Casey, Penny Chittenden, Charlotte Westerfield, and Sandy Kensler (not positive). Gloria Nilsson (not positive).
