The Madison Art Society is holding its first elected artist show October 2-28, 2016 at the Scranton Memorial Library 801 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT. Elected artist status is earned by artists, in good standing, who have been accepted into 2 juried shows within a 5 year period of time. Over half of the society's 250 members have been designated elected artists. Artwork in all art mediums, including sculpture, will be on exhibit in the community room of the library and can be viewed during regular library hours.
An opening reception will be held on October 13 5-7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend, view the work and meet the artists. Those attending the reception will also be able to vote for their favorite artwork. After the votes are tallied the artist of the winning work will receive the Viewer's Choice award.
