Madison Art Society Artists of the Month - November and December at the Madison Town Hall

The Madison Art Society's artists for the months of November and December are Diana Rogers, pastelist, and John Carroll, oil painter . Their oil paintings and pastels will be on exhibit for public viewing throughout November and December during normal business hours at the Madison Town Hall, 8 Campus Drive, Madison, Ct

Diana Rogers

Diana Roger's paintings are all about color and nature. Landscape painting is a direct way that she connects emotionally with “mother nature.” Diana likes to get to know the landscape by slowing down and representing the shapes, patterns and movement in nature. The world is losing pristine landscapes and seascapes at a rapid pace. Painting and documenting what she experiences and appreciates in nature is one way Diana can show her respect for the environment. Diana prefers the pastel medium because it is pure, intense pigment and a perfect complement to the colorful bounty of nature.

Diana's love for painting outdoors intersects with her unrelenting desire to travel. Wherever, and whenever she travels, shes takes her easel and paints outdoors to capture the place and time. Her favorite painting locations are New England , California and Italy . Diana resides with her family in Clinton , Connecticut . Diana can be contacted at 860-669-7523 or at Diana.rogers@comcast.net
