The Madison Art Society will host an oil painting demonstration by Guilford artist Eileen Eder on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. The evening's topic is planning still life paintings, but the focus, Smart Painting, is important for all artists in all genres. Eileen states " The first 30 minutes of starting a painting should be spent planning and playing with your composition." She will explain the power of big shapes, value studies and how the 'rule of thirds' for both composition and values will make huge improvements in your paintings.
