Okay Mother Nature - we surrender. With 3 feet of snow, four foot plus drifts and now freezing rain, we decided it is just too dangerous to have our members on the road let alone trying to find a place to park and walk. Our reception for the first time in 38 years has been canceled for Tuesday, February 12, 2013 6:30 -8:30 p.m. We are concerned about freezing conditions at night too. If you are suppose to sit the show today. Do NOT drive over there today. Many roads are not plowed and many of our members are not able to get out of the driveways or streets with single lanes.
Our Critique is next Sunday, February 17Th at 1:30p.m.at the Scranton Memorial Library in Madison. The library opens at 1:00p.m. on Sunday and they will be open all this week. We will do our Popular Prize vote on Sunday and will be using the lottery system for the Critique - which paintings will be critiqued. We have the names of the artists that signed up at Receiving and normally we get the remainder of the names for the lottery at the reception. If you did not have a chance to do it yet, we will need your name and the number position of the painting on the wall. The programs will be available at the library. We will add it to the lottery at 1:30 p.m. Remeber there are 4 paintings on the main floor near the computer labs. The Juror's Award will be presented then too.Lou Bonamarte our Juror/Critique presenter will explain why he chose the painting he selected for the prize.
Art lecture by Fred Biamonte - Fred will present The Women and Art of Andrew Wyeth on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.
Pick up - All art work must be remove on Friday, March 1, 2013 9 - 5 p.m. No room for storage. Please make arrangements to have your work picked up.
