Cheryl M. Sorensen
Essex Boathouse, oil by Cheryl Sorensen
Cheryl yearned to be an artist all of her life, but earning a living, raising a family and a lot of other things got in the way.  When she retired she finally had a chance to start dabbling in art and she dove in head first.  For the past year she has been painting in oils.  She has studied with Lou Bonamarte, Tony Couch, Liz McGee, Bivenne, Jerry Caron, David Dewey and Eileen Eder.  Cheryl hopes to grow as an artist for the rest of her life.

Diana Perron
Island Landscape Gouache by Diana Perron
Diana began her working life picking apples and later started an herb farm before becoming a landscape gardener.  Her art interest began when she started recording the beauty of the world in which she was immersed.  She has returned to the landscape as her primary inspiration using both known and remembered landscapes as her subjects.

She has participated in group shows in all along the shoreline.  As a recipient of the purchase award from New Haven Paint and Clay Club, she has a painting, Tidal Marsh-West River in their permanent collection.
