The Madison Art Society on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:30- 8:30 PM will host at the E.C. Scranton Memorial Library, Madison, CT, Bernard McTigue for a demonstration of landscape painting in oil. Salmungundi Club Annual Open Exhibition, (Gamblin Color Award 2009), the Hudson Valley Art Association annual exhibition, (Rayma Spaulding Award 2009 ) including various awards at exhibitions such as first place in,"The John Stobart Fellowship Award Winners: 1989-2011 Exhibition;"juried by John Stobart and held at the Firehouse Square Gallery in New London, CT in 2011.

In addition he was awarded a one man show at The Gallery at Firehouse Square in June 2012. Locally he exhibits his work at the Rockport art Association (Rockport , Ma), the Lyme Art Association (Old Lyme, CT)., Madison Art Society (Madison CT), Clinton Art Society (Clinton CT) He has taught privately and professionally at his studio in Waterford CT, and several art centers including the Artisan's Harbor Gallery, the Mystic Art Center, Maple and Main Gallery, the New London Continuing Education, Killingsworth Art Center and, Middlesex Community Education in Old Saybrook.
