The Madison Art Society will host an art demo by oil painter Lisa DeFilippo on Thursday July 6, 6:30 pm. at the Madison Senior Center, 29 Bradley Road, Madison, CT. The demo entitled "Go Figure" will focus on the fundamentals of figure and portrait painting.

Designed to be an informative conversation, Lisa's demo will cover basic anatomical points and common mistakes artists make when drawing or painting the figure. The presentation is designed for portrait and figure painters as well as those who place figures in their landscape or interior paintings. Using a variety of drawings and tools, Lisa will give attendees many take-away lessons that are easily understood and can be incorporated into each artist's painting process.

Lisa DeFillippo is an award winning painter, elected artist at Lyme Art Association and the Salmagundi Club in New York City. She started her career as a fashion illustration student and studied at Paier Art School. Working continually from life, she has studied with Deane Keller Sr, Hollis Dunlap and Steven Assael.
The demo is free and open to the public.
