The Madison Art Society will host a landscape oil painting demonstration by award winning oil painter Paul Batch. The demonstration will be held on the second floor of Memorial Hall on the green in Madison, CT on July 2, 2015 at 6:30 PM.
Mr. Batch is a two time award winning finalist in the Portrait Society of America's international portrait competition. He received his BFA from Hartford Art School and his MFA from the University of Hartford. He is an exhibiting member of the Oil Painters of America. His work has been published in North Light Books, Fine Art Connoisseur online and International Artists Magazine. When speaking of his artwork, Paul says the following; "Whenever I’m painting I try to faithfully render the subject before me, while at the same time interjecting my own poetic
response to what I am seeing. I am drawn to the beauty of transitional moments in time. It may be something as obvious as a beautiful sunset or as quiet as a person in thought. I find these moments of transition to be beautiful. "

Madison Art Society demos are open to the public and an important part of the society's educational outreach to the community.
