Zufar Bikbov was born and and classically trained in art and medicine in Russia prior to coming the the United States in 2004. After studying classic realism, his current focus is plein air work and occasional landscape abstraction. Plein air work is done outside, on location. His main purpose in creating art is to share the beauty that surrounds us. Bikbov's painting "Afternoon in Hoorn" is on display as part of the juried exhibit at the library. He served as the juror, selecting 88 works of art for the show. The exhibit is open during regular library hours until May 29, 2015
