Diane Aeschilman, Portrait of Kimberly, Winner of the Most Popular Art
Award at the Madison Art Society 37th Annual Art Exhibition at the Scranton

The Madison Art Society is holding its 37Th
Annual Member Art Exhibition at the E. C. Scranton Memorial Library at 801
Boston Post Road, Madison Ct. There is a fine display of the art society's water
colors, oil paintings, pastels, drawings, and sculpture (112 works of art). The
art can be viewed during normal library hours in the community room during the
month of February. There is no charge for the show. Portrait artist, Diane
Aeschilman, received the most popular art award offered by the Madison Fish
Tale for her portrait of "Kimberly" . The art on display may be purchased and
the artists donate a percent of
the sale to the library.
On Sunday, February 12, 2012, Lou Bonamarte, well known
New England water
colorist, will be conducting an art critique of some of the 112 works of art in
the show at 1:30 pm. On Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.,
Fred Biamonte, educator and psycho biographer of artists from the New Britain
Museum of American Art will conduct an art slide lecture on the life and art of
Winslow Homer. A nominal donation will be appreciated for the slide lecture.
Both events will be held at the community room of the library and the art show
