Madison Art Society President, Beverly A. Schirmeier, and Vice President, Don
Trownsell, along with seventeen additional board members will be displaying
their paintings at the Henry Carter Hull Library, Clinton, for the month of
October.
During
the month of October,seventeen Madison Art Society board of director members
will be displaying their paintings at the Henry Carter Hull Library located at
10 Killingworth Turnpike, Rte.
81, Clinton, Ct.. Artists paintings will feature seascapes,
landscape and still lifes. The
art work will be hung throughout the library on the first and second floors. The
library hours are Monday 10 -8 p.m., Tuesday 10-5p.m., Wednesday 10 -8 p.m.,
Thursday, 12-8p.m., Friday, 9 -5 p.m., and Saturday 10 -2 p.m. The art show
will feature oil, acrylic and pastel paintings and many of the paintings may be
purchased.
Viewers
can see the art work of the Madison Art Society board members that were just
re-elected for 2012 at the Madison Art Society Annual Meeting this past week.
Beverly Schirmeier, was re-elected President, along with Don Trownsell, Vice
President, Joan McPherson, Treasurer and Nancy Chapman and Maryanne Rupp as
Co-Secretary. Other board members returning for 2012 are: Jay Babina, Patricia
Barone, Denise Casey, Penny Chittenden, John Copelin, Stuart Lerner, Linda Loen,
Seymour Page, Maude Schmidt, Patricia Seekamp, Paula Solimene Emery, John Tubb,
and Beth Wardwell. Stuart's sculpture can be seen at his gallery located in
Madison. Each board member will have their art work
on display and they are looking forward to another year of working together to
bring art shows, plein air painting and artist
demonstrations to the shoreline community. The Madison Art Society has over 235
