Summer Is Time for Antiques and Arts Summer is a time for our Madison Art Society artists to display their paintings at outdoor art exhibitions and to support our local non-profit organizations such as the Madison Exchange Club at their Annual Arts and Antiques Fair on Saturday, August 13, 2011 on the Madison Green from 9 -4 p.m. (no rain date). In addition to supporting the Madison Exchange Club by donating 10% of their sales, our artists have donated a percentage of their art sales to the Scranton Memorial Library, the Friends of Hammonasset and the Deacon John Graves Historical House in past years. Twenty of the Madison Art Society artists will have their art work on sale and they encourage everyone to come out and support our local artists, antique vendors and the Madison Exchange Club community efforts. The Madison Art Society has over 230 artists from throughout the shoreline. The Madison Art Society welcomes the community to attend our free outdoor art exhibitions, their member and juried shows, and to see the artist demonstrations that are open to the public. MAS also provides a high school scholarship award as part of the SAA Award Program. |
